Join us for an evening of high quality laughs in support of a great cause!  The 2010 An Evening of Hope's entertainers will include East Tennessee's own Leanne Morgan and Nashville funny-man Rik Roberts.

Leanne Morgan

As a stay at home mother of three, Leanne was looking for a way to get some grown-up time without interfering with her children or her husband's career.  She began selling jewelry through house parties.  Word of her wonderful sense of humor and intoxicating southern charm spread like wildfire and she was staying booked months in advance. She was so popular that she was asked to entertain several local corporate events and a professional comedy career was born. After she and her husband moved to Texas, she was asked to appear in the Las Vegas Comedy Festival and appeared on ABC's The View in a hilarious housewife segment. After returning to Knoxville, Leanne appeared as a finalist on Nick at Nite's Funniest Mom and toured three years with the Southern Fried Chicks. She has appeared in comedy clubs, performing arts centers, and theatres all over the United States. She is currently under contract with Warner Brothers and ABC to develop a sitcom based on her comedy material.

Rik Roberts

Born in Lexington, KY, Rik was instilled with down home values and the type of politeness and courtesy you get used to in a small town.  After graduating High School, Rik earned a bachelor's Degree in Communications from Bethany College in West Virginia.  He started his comedy career in Columbus, OH while working a day job at Simon & Schuster Publishing. Early comedy experiences included landing a spot with the nation's top touring improvisation comedy troupe "Midwest Comedy Tool & Die."  Beginning in 1997, Rik started headlining at America's top comedy clubs. Nearly ten years later Rik has become a favorite at The   Improv, The Punchline, Funny Bone, The Stardome, Zanies - you name it! It was this background that led to his current career of corporate entertaining.  Rik moved to  Nashville in 1998 and turned up the heat on his career. His dedication to "clean" comedy earned him an episode of the Emmy award winning "Bananas Family Comedy" show. Shortly after that he was tapped to expand his Barney Fife Impression on "Comedy at Large."  Rik enjoys teaching comedy classes at his home club "Zanies" in Nashville, TN.
