Adolescent Prevention Program
The Life Skills Training (LST) program provides substance abuse and violence prevention counseling to high-risk children in grades six through nine. Children enrolled in the 14-week program learn skills to cope with anxiety and stress, manage anger, effectively communicate and build defenses against peer pressure.
The Strengthening Families Program (SFP) is a 12-week parenting and family strengthening program for high-risk families with children ages 12-16 years old. Families will learn effective communication, parenting skills, and about the dangers of substance use. Families will also learn how to cope with anger and conflict.
