WBIR’s Russell Biven hosts clayfest tournament to “Pull!” for a good cause
Russell Biven Clayfest 2017

On Friday, Aug. 4 and Saturday, Aug. 5, the 2017 Russell Biven Summer Clayfest Tournament will take place at Chilhowee Sportsman’s Club in Maryville.

WBIR’s Russell Biven hosts the tournament, which benefits mental health, addiction and social services in East Tennessee provided by the Helen Ross McNabb Center. Russell spends each day of the tournament speaking with participants and partaking in the day’s activities.

Russell Biven would like to invite participants to come out and support the Center. “I am excited to host Clayfest and continue supporting the Helen Ross McNabb Center,” Russell said. “I invite you to join us in busting some clays for an excellent cause.”

The tournament includes two flights on Friday and one morning flight on Saturday. The flight times are 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. The cost for a five-person team is $650 and includes lunch provided by Dead End BBQ, a goody bag, an event shirt and use of a golf cart. In addition to individual and team prizes, the event will also feature a raffle.

Cherokee Distributing is presenting the tournament in memory of Herb Ogle, a longtime friend and supporter of the Helen Ross McNabb Center. Herb was active in the Russell Biven Clayfest Tournament and also served as an event committee member for many years.
